Common questions

A few things prospects ask before filling out the brief.

How much does a website cost?

Most marketing websites we build land between AUD $3,000 and AUD $15,000, depending on page count, content help needed, and feature complexity. A single landing page or small brochure site sits at the lower end. A 10-15 page marketing site with a blog and custom design is mid-range. The brief builder above gives me enough to come back with a fixed price, not a range.

How long does it take to build?

Single landing pages typically ship in 2-3 weeks. A standard 4-10 page marketing site is 6-10 weeks from kickoff to launch. Larger builds with custom interactives or content writing can run 10-16 weeks. Timeline depends mostly on how quickly you can review and approve, plus content readiness.

Do you build on WordPress?

No. We build on Astro, React (Next.js), or hand-written HTML/CSS depending on the project. Static-first builds are faster, more secure, and cheaper to host than WordPress — with no plugin updates or security patches to chase.

Do you do ecommerce or web apps?

No. We build marketing websites — the content is the product. If you need a Shopify store, a SaaS platform, or a custom application with user accounts and a database, we're not the right fit. We can recommend specialists.

Will you maintain it after launch?

By default, no — that's a feature, not a bug. Static sites on Cloudflare Pages don't need ongoing maintenance the way WordPress does. We can do small content edits ad-hoc on a quote-by-quote basis if you don't want to touch the code yourself.

Do you work with businesses outside Perth?

Yes. We're based in Perth, Western Australia, but most of the work is delivered remotely — we work with clients across Australia and internationally. If you're local, we can meet in person; if not, video calls work fine.

What's included in the price?

Discovery, design direction, build, deployment, DNS migration, SSL setup, and a working contact form. Hosting on Cloudflare Pages is free (you don't pay platform fees). Domain registration and any third-party services (email, analytics, booking widgets) are extra and quoted separately.

Can I edit the site myself after launch?

If you want to. We can wire in a lightweight Git-backed CMS (Decap, Sveltia) so you can edit copy and add blog posts via a simple admin UI without touching code. Mention it in the brief notes and we'll factor it in.
