Kevin Sing

I help enterprise service line owners ship UC and AV programs that don't drag past their deadlines — and build the business cases that get them funded in the first place.

Currently: the pipeline is always running — embedded UC/AV work inside a major resources company, plus parallel advisory and web builds through The Tech Space. New conversations welcome any time; if it's the right project, we'll find a way to make the timing work.

Eleven years of enterprise UC and AV delivery across AUS and US markets. 1000+ rooms deployed in environments where the technology has to work the first time, every time — trading floors, mining HQ environments, lecture theatres seating 200, global fitouts coordinated across continents and time zones.

The Tech Space is the consultancy I built to do this work cleanly — independent of any integrator, vendor, or platform. Now expanded to include modern marketing websites for the tech vendors and trade specialists I've worked alongside for years.

What clients hire me for

Specific outcomes, not generic capability.

The work I'm trusted with usually falls into one of four buckets. If your project doesn't look like one of these, it's probably not the right fit — and I'll tell you that early.

01 / ROOMS

Microsoft Teams Rooms estates that just work.

MTR-on-Windows or Android, Pro management, Intune enrolment, room standards, device strategy. Rollouts that don't generate a backlog of support tickets after handover.

02 / AV

AV rollouts that don't drag past deadline.

AVIXA-aligned design, integrator selection and oversight, technical QA on install, commissioning sign-off. The bit between procurement and operations where most projects come unstuck.

03 / STRATEGY

UC business cases that CFOs actually approve.

Multi-year service cost modelling, CapEx vs OpEx framing, license forecasting, executive narrative work. The technical detail buried beneath the language your finance team responds to.

04 / WEB

Marketing websites for tech vendors & trade specialists.

Modern static-first builds on Astro, React, or hand-written HTML. Same operator mindset applied to the web — sites that load fast, convert, and don't need a developer on retainer.

How I work

Strong opinions, loosely held. Mostly strong.

A few things I've come to believe after a decade-plus in enterprise delivery. If these resonate, we'll work well together. If they don't, I'm probably the wrong fit — and that's fine.

01

I work with service line owners, not procurement teams.

My value lands when there's a technical decision-maker on the other side who needs an outcome, not an SOW negotiator who needs a unit price. Procurement is a stop on the journey, not the destination.

02

I don't sell hardware.

Specifically and on purpose. It keeps the recommendation aligned with your outcome instead of my commission. If the right answer is "use what you already have", that's the answer.

03

I'd rather tell you the project shouldn't happen than deliver one that won't work.

Killing a bad project early costs less than finishing it. I'll do the diligence to figure out which is which, and I'll be honest about what I find.

04

Specifications matter; relationships matter more.

The integrator who returns your calls and tells you the truth at 4pm on a Friday is worth more than the one with the lowest tender price. Most of the technical risk in an enterprise project is actually relationship risk in disguise.

05

Show up with the rigour of someone who's accountable for the outcome.

Because I am. Whether the engagement is one room or a 200-site rollout, the work has my name on it. That changes how I do it.

06

Eleven years of getting things wrong is what makes me good at getting them right.

I'll tell you about the project that overran by 60% before I tell you about the one that came in under budget. The patterns I look for are the ones I learned from missing them the first time.

Where I've delivered

Sectors I've worked in.

Each one shaped a different part of how I think. Resources taught reliability; finance taught precision; education taught scale; technology taught speed.

My expertise comes from 11+ years of hands-on delivery - not just certifications. While I've held various industry credentials over the years, I've prioritised real-world experience over keeping every certification current. The knowledge is in the work, not the wall.
